In the age of longevity—and on this Mental Health Awareness Month—more than sticking to a skincare regimen that helps reverse the aging process, self-love is at the heart of self-care.
Indeed, the current anti-aging revolution has engendered the current 1990s renaissance and social media trend in which celebrities and everyday people who had their “heyday” before Y2K post pictures in their former glory to The Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris” while feeling both nostalgic and inspired. These demographics—Millennial, Gen Xers and Baby Boomers—seek to carry the torch of the spirit of their former self into the present day while employing wellness trends shaping 2026 to prolong their lives, and with it, health and happiness.
According to Circana, prestige skincare concluded fiscal 2025 with 3% dollar growth. Despite a slower first half, the skincare category rebounded, outpacing both makeup and fragrance during the holiday period. Facial skincare fueled this momentum, prestige’s largest skincare segment, which analysts say posted its strongest sales month in November 2025. At mass retail, skincare delivered 6% increase in both dollars and units, driven primarily by facial cleansers and moisturizers.
Naturally, for the beauty industry, longevity means owning one’s age while looking timeless. Public figures that shaped the 1990s and Y2K culture include heiress, socialite and entrepreneur Paris Hilton, who launched a luxury skincare line called Parívie Beauty. The collection of beauty products, distinguished by electric pink packaging, is powered by inPHinite Youth Technology. This proprietary blend was developed exclusively for Parívie and combines peptides, antioxidants and probiotic-fermented extracts to address the unique challenges of living in a fast-paced, hyper-connected environment with the goal to reawaken skin, according to the brand.
Sixty-year-old Elizabeth Hurley, famous for her sultry roles in the “Austin Powers” franchise, recently credited Estée Lauder’s top-selling Advanced Night Repair to looking “decades younger.” The serum, layered beneath a moisturizer, leverages beauty sleep using its Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex. The formula is designed to reduce the look of multiple signs of aging, while boosting radiance, hydration and firmness. Its cocktail of “night” peptide and hyaluronic acid promotes “rapid” skin renewal to leave skin smoother, plumper and younger-looking with continued use, according to ELC.
Hurley said in a recent interview that she has used the serum twice daily for the past three decades—likely a routine the actress began when she was first tapped as an Estée Lauder model and spokesperson.
Lancôme is cashing in on “The Devil Wears Prada 2” craze with the Absolue Longevity MD collection. The follow-up to the original stars Meryl Streep who infamously channels Vogue’s renowned editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
The collection is aimed to help skin look “timeless.” Absolue Longevity MD is Lancôme’s first dermatologist-validated skin care range grounded in Longevity Integrative Science. It’s powered by Mitopure, a longevity urolithin-A supplement ingredient adapted for topical skincare.
The collection represents what officials call a “new frontier” in longevity skincare. Designed to reverse skin’s visible biological age at every life stage, it targets visible aging signs including firmness, suppleness, radiance, fine lines and smoothness. It aims to help preserve the look of strength, vitality and radiance over time, officials said.
Dr. Annie Black, international scientific director at Lancôme, says the product lineup shouldn’t be reduced to a mere range, but representative of a novel way of thinking about skin aging; one that moves beyond a traditional approach and introduces a broader longevity-inspired framework for skincare.
Source: Circana OmniMarket™ Total Store View
“It is one of Lancôme’s most strategic launches to date and our most important scientific step forward since Génifique in 2009,” Black told Happi. “It also reflects our open-innovation model, which brings together expertise from across disciplines. In this case, that includes collaborations with partners such as Timeline and NanoEntek to help explore new frontiers in skincare science and diagnostics.”
Absolue Longevity MD, which reflects both the scientific ambition and medical-inspired approach, includes three SKUs formulated for young, midlife and mature skin. Anticipate Cream, designed for younger skin, helps preserve a youthful-looking appearance and addresses the earliest visible signs of aging before they become established. Intercept Serum and Cream are formulated for midlife skin, supporting visible renewal, firmness, and glow as aging signs become more apparent. Reset Serum and Cream are developed for more mature skin, with a focus on helping restore the look of vitality, bounce and overall skin quality.
Alongside Mitopure, each stage of the range is paired with a proprietary compound developed to support the visible needs of skin at different points in its aging journey. Depending on the product, that includes support for skin-surface renewal, hydration, barrier-related parameters, visible resilience, radiance and other visible signs of aging, Black said.
“In that sense, the formulation strategy is designed to be more tailored and stage-specific, rather than one-size-fits-all,” she said.
Lancôme also created the Lancôme Longevity MD Advisors Board, a multidisciplinary group of board-certified physicians and longevity thought leaders. These professionals work alongside a separate board of dermatologists who contributed to the review of testing protocols and ingredient development. The brand unveiled Absolue Longevity MD at the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting last month to demonstrate the level of scientific rigor behind the launch.
Another legacy brand celebrating timeless beauty is RoC Skincare. The brand recently held a reunion with “Bravolebrities” and The Real Housewives of New York City stars Bethenny Frankel, Ramona Singer, and Sonja Morgan to support the national launch of Retinol Correxion Rich Cream. The formula is powered by RoC’s new “patented clinical retinol,” which is reportedly seven times more effective than traditional retinol.
Clinical studies show that RoC’s Retinol Correxion Rich Cream visibly reduces skin age by up to a decade, delivering high-performance results without irritation. The formula also showed a visible improvement in firmness for 96% of users in one week. In a 12-week clinical study, 100% of participants saw a visible reduction in deep wrinkles, while the addition of repairing Bio-Ceramides and Calcium provides up to 100 hours of continuous hydration for a smoother, more resilient complexion.
While retinol has been an OG in skincare, consumers are open to experimentation when it comes to achieving their best skin. PDRN, or polydeoxyribonucleotide—originally referred to DNA fragments extracted from salmon sperm—ranks No. 2 on Fresha’s list of the top 10 wellness trends of 2026.
PDRN is increasingly available in plant-based and vegan forms, appealing to shoppers who prefer formulas that align with their ethical values.
According to analysts at Spate, the PDRN trend has grown by 998.4% compared to last year and across platforms. In search, interest is up more than 1,000% compared to last year, while TikTok has seen 739.4% growth. PDRN currently receives 1,600 average monthly searches on Google, 1.4 million average weekly views on TikTok and 116 average weekly posts on Instagram.
Purported benefits of PDRN include tissue regeneration and repair to promote cell renewal and collagen stimulation. It is also effective at improving acne scars by stimulating collagen production and accelerating skin regeneration. However, it works best in conjunction with microneedling to reduce the depth of atrophic scars, improve texture and fade hyperpigmentation. (For more on PDRN, see p. 38.)
In March, UK-based beauty brand Rodial entered the PDRN category with its Salmon DNA Water Oil.
Retailing for $195, the bi-phase treatment formulated with 59% active ingredients delivers deep-layer rejuvenation and resulted in a 98% reduction in wrinkle depth after eight weeks of use and a 95% increase in collagen production, according to the brand.
K-beauty brand ClearDea released a Mucin Collanetinal Deep Wrinkle shot to target fine lines and wrinkles via snail mucin and collagen-based ingredients that help support skin hydration and barrier function. Its mucin and collagen complex helps maintain moisture and cushion the skin to minimize potential irritation, officials said.
Another K-beauty brand winning the hearts of American beauty enthusiasts is Seoul 1988. The brand, named for an epoch that officials told Happi reflects Korea’s cultural confidence and global openness, combines traditional Korean ingredients with modern derma technology.
Last month, its popularity was evinced in its launch into 227 Costco doors. Products include the Retinal Liposome 2% + Black Ginseng. Its liposome technology is said to help reduce irritation while antioxidant-rich ginseng improves skin tones, the look of fine lines and texture with two weeks of use
Another successful K-beauty skincare brand gaining traction in the US is Medicube. Following its viral breakout in 2023, the brand was named the No. 1 beauty brand on Amazon Prime Day 2025 and surpassed 1 million units sold on TikTok Shop.
More recently, Medicube launched in Target. The retail rollout included a sidecap launch in stores nationwide featuring several PDRN launches ranging from Pink Collagen Capsule Cream to Pink Niacinamide Whip Cleanser, in addition to two of Medicube’s hero products: the 2024 Zero Pore Pad 2.0 and the Collagen Jelly Cream. The face cream boosts skin elasticity, hydration and radiance. It also features a fast-absorbing, gelatinous texture that firms skin and improves tone using hydrolyzed collagen, niacinamide and squalane to yield the “glass skin” effect—which continues to be popular.
Glass skin was top spa trend for 2026 per Spa Seekers’ recent report.
A new player in glass skin is GlassFX, founded by entrepreneur Suman Desai. Launched last July and four years in the making, each of the brand’s formulas use precision biotechnology to combine “high-performance” actives with skin-compatible delivery systems for visible surface transformation, said the company. Inspired by Korea’s ideal of translucent, luminous skin, the line was created to deliver a reflective, poreless finish.
“GlassFX represents its science-first approach to delivering the glass-skin effect: radiant, refined and resilient,” Desai told Happi. “’FX’ speaks to formulation, function and effect, the pillars of our product philosophy. In science, f(x) literally means ‘function,’ which aligns with our commitment to delivering real, functional results from the first application.”
Another fast-growing skincare ingredient in the current marathon for longevity is panthenol. Better known as provitamin B5, it moisturizes, soothes irritation and strengthens the skin barrier, making its benefits especially appealing for dry, sensitive skin.
Per Spate analysts, panthenol creams have grown by 523.3% compared to last year and across platforms. On TikTok, search has grown by over 1,000%.
K-Beauty skincare brand TonyMoly recently expanded into acne care with its Azulene Collection. Its three-step system is suited for acne-prone skin types.
The TonyMoly anti blemish lotion is powered by panthenol and a Azulene complex to calm irritation, replenish moisture and support the skin barrier. Its anti-blemish foam cleanser removes oil, impurities and bacteria without drying. The cleanser is clinically proven to have a 98.9% antibacterial effect against acne-causing bacteria and a 39.7% reduction in sebum inside pores after one use, said the brand. Cooling and lightweight, the Anti Blemish Toner quickly calms and hydrates stressed, breakout-prone skin. It is clinically to produce a 7.9°C decrease in skin surface temperature on troubled areas after use, the company said.
Another of TonyMoly’s products, Mask Melt Hydrating Overnight Wrapping Mask, contains PDRN to visibly smooth the look of fine lines and blur skin texture for a “soft-focus, refreshed finish.” PDRN is said to stimulate fibroblasts to boost collagen production, making it effective for treating atrophic acne scars and improving skin texture, per the Inkey List.
One celebrity who knows all too well the mental and physical damage acne can leave in its destructive path is Alix Earle. The influencer last month announced her first acne line created with New York City-based dermatologist Dr. Kiran Mian. The line, Reale Actives, features a four-step system inclusive of a makeup-removing cleansing balm,; exfoliating gel cleanser, mandelic acid serum and a hyaluronic acid moisturizer.
Mandelic acid—a key component in the collection—is an oil-soluble alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from bitter almonds, ideal for treating acne, hyperpigmentation and aging skin. Given its large molecular weight, it penetrates the skin slowly and evenly, causing less irritation than fellow AHAs, such as glycolic acid.
Earle, who invested two years in developing the line, suffered through bouts of cystic acne—a journey she started chronicling on TikTok in 2022. She treated the persistent condition with three rounds of Accutane coupled with spironolactone, a potassium-sparing diuretic used to manage acne in women. Despite the potent treatments, which yielded positive results, Earle’s flareups continued to boomerang. Given a lack of full, consistent clearing, she worked with Dr. Mian to create a topical skincare regimen to keep her skin clear while caring for the skin’s delicate microbiome to preserve its texture and prevent future breakouts. She attributes patience and scaling back her routine with the few products in her Reale Actives line to helping her see a “ton of improvement” in her skin.
Another star getting real about acne and self-care is “Chemical Hearts” actress Lili Reinhart. Her Gen Z-centric skincare brand, Personal Day, was inspired by the 29-year-old’s cyclical acne flareups. The brand, she said, encapsulates accessibility, compassion and support for acne sufferers.
Though acne can wreak havoc on one’s self-esteem, Reinhart told Happi that she was grateful for having grown up in a supportive environment in which her self-worth was not defined by the condition of her skin.
In-line with the current sensorial trend, the brand’s Full Clarity Cleansing Powder, ideal for acne-prone skin, is formulated with azelaic acid, rice powder and papaya fruit extract. It “transforms” into a lather with water, gently exfoliating skin without drying it out, said the brand.
Earlier this year, Personal Day released a lip product, Emotional Support Tinted Lip Balm, in two “feel-good” shades: Jam Jar and Strawberry Milk.
Formulated after the chapped lips she developed as a side effect from using Accutane, the “buttery-smooth” balm hydrates and conditions with hyaluronic acid, squalane and seed oils.
With wellness driving lifestyle trends, consumers are just as big on keeping their bodies fit and healthy as they are their valued visages.
According to recent data from Spate’s Popularity Index, cryo masks are among the fastest-growing skincare products next to collagen eye patches. Rather than refrigerating cooling tools, consumers are reaping the benefits of cold therapy with such masks. Designed to deliver a cooling effect to the skin, the cryo mask trend has grown 692.2% compared to last year and across platforms.
K-beauty brands have helped bring this format to the forefront. According to Spate, Dr. Jart+ stands out with 2,800 average monthly searches.
The brand’s Cryo Rubber Moisturizing Face Mask with hyaluronic acid is ideal for quenching dry skin. The two-step Korean mask treatment seals in the serum’s ingredients to moisturize and reduce water loss for a glass-skin finish.
Borghese Roma, a premium skincare brand that brought its spa-like products to New York Fashion Week this past fall, recently served as the official skincare partner for the Christian Siriano Spring 2026 fashion show at Macy’s Herald Square.
As the “no-makeup makeup” look trends, models wore minimal cosmetics with the spotlight on taut, healthy and luminous skin.
Borghese achieved this by prepping models’ skin with a four-step regimen, which included Borghese’s Advanced Fango Active mud to desensitize inflamed skin.
Recently, the brand released Fango Purificante Purifying Mud Mask, developed over 18 months after heeding consumer feedback on Reddit.
“The formula builds on Borghese’s expertise with mineral mud treatments and was developed as the newest innovation in the Fango family to address oily, congested and blemish-prone skin while remaining gentle and balancing,” Borghese Chief Operating Officer Dawn Hilarczyk told Happi.
The mask uses a trio of mineral-rich clays—kaolin, bentonite and diatomaceous earth—along with sea salt to absorb excess oil and draw impurities from pores.
By reducing excess sebum and buildup, it helps minimize the conditions that lead to blackheads and clogged pores, she said.
The mask is clinically proven to reduce 43.3% in oil after one five-minute use and with continued use, it helps visibly reduce blemishes. A clinical study showed a 46.5% reduction in skin blemishes after four weeks.
What’s more, the mask has a “subtle spa-like” scent, inspired by the sensory experience of traditional Italian mud treatments, designed to enhance the ritual while remaining light and refreshing.
For Dr. Brent Ridge, the Harvard-trained co-founder behind Beekman 1802, aging is a gift. He was introduced to the concept of longevity long before it was a buzzword and dominated the beauty space.
As a child in the 1970s, losing his father and being raised by a single parent forced him to live with his grandparents, which eventually led him to discover the value in the aging process—a curiosity that, in hindsight, blazed a trail to a burgeoning career in anti-aging skincare, he said.
One of Beekman 1802’s bestsellers is the MilkRx Better Aging line, which is formulated with a LipoTrue-developed plant-based retinol alternative for anti-aging. It stimulates collagen I production and epidermal lipids to reduce wrinkles, improve firmness and minimize pore size without the irritation or photo-toxicity associated with traditional retinoids, making it suitable for sensitive skin and day or night use, said Ridge.
This, combined with the delivery of goat milk exosomes, has made MilkRx Better Aging skincare successful for Beekman 1802.
Beyond these workhorse ingredients, Ridge cites “kindness” as the key active in his skincare products.
“Our signature ingredient at Beekman 1802 is kindness, and we even address how people perceive the aging process when they look in the mirror by printing the Buddhist loving-kindness meditation right inside the box,” said Ridge.
